Construction materials used-all areas
directly exposed to weather.
Primary building component is a solid white PVC trimboard material.
This material is used extensively in the construction industry where potential
water-related damage could occur.
This material is mold and mildew proof.
It is insect proof.
It will not delaminate.
It does not absorb water so there is no "movement" of joints.
It is guaranteed stable for 25 years
It can be painted if desired.
It can be washed or sanded to clean.
Construction material-roof area. The roof is constructed of ¾ exterior grade plywood.
Since the roof is not directly exposed to weather, plywood remains an excellent
component to use because of the compound mitering involved with this
construction.
Construction material-roof covering. 12 ounce copper is used to cover the roof. Trim at joint areas is
also of 12-ounce copper. Copper is essentially stable over an indefinite period.
The copper roof is lightly clear-coated to enhance the copper appearance. This
is not permanent.
Copper will eventually become a verdigirs color, which is a very desirable
finish.
Galvanized metal is also used for both the hammered and verde treatment. These
treatments will last quite a long time in exterior locations. They can also be
renewed as necessary.
Fastening PVC cement is used to attach horizontal joints. PVC cement is so
strong
that the joint is actually stronger than the PVC board itself.
Vertical joints are pneumatically nailed with 1 1/4 brads. Nail holes are
spackled, sanded and painted.
Roof joints are bradded with 1 1/4 brads and glued with exterior glue.
Mounting All products are made to receive a standard 4x4 post. Once the
product is mounted on top of the post, 1 ¾ screws should be used to anchor to
the post.
